Greetings in the Name of Jesus,

What is God seeking to do new in your life?  This past Sunday we were reminded of God’s faithfulness, and of the powerful fact that God is the God of the past, the present and the future!  Sometimes it can be easy to either get caught up in the past or to worry about the future.  Remembering what God has done – with Him at the center, can give us assurance that God is present with us right now, and is working for our future.  I don’t know about you, but for me, this frees me to focus on how God wants to use me today!  So I encourage you to keep your eyes open, today – for the ways God desires to change you, to use you, and to challenge you.

Here are some announcements to keep in mind:

  • NO JAM activities tonight – but there is a Jr. Youth and Youth Event at the Fisher High School Gym from 7-8:30.  All Jr. High and High School youth are invited!  (Bring your friends.)
  • Angie is out of the office this week, and Pastor Mike is in and out with visits and other activities through the day.  If you need to talk to Pastor Mike, please call his cell phone.
  • Saturday, February 6 is the Baptism/Membership Class.  If you are interested in attending, or would like more information, please let Pastor Michael know by calling or replying to this email.  Lunch will be provided, so we need to know approximately how many to provide adequate food and supplies.

Sometimes in our spiritual life, we may feel as though God is distant!  It is at those times that we must go to the Word, and allow it to settle into our minds, and then our hearts.  The Israelites often felt abandoned by God – simply because He was disciplining them due to their sinful ways.  They were far off from God, not because God had abandoned them, but because they had abandoned God.  When they repented, however, they often found God right there with them, protecting, and leading them.  We read in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19, NASB95)  Even in the desert, He will make a way.  Remember God in your daily walk – see Him working, healing, inviting – you…. to be His child, His servant.
From Fear to Faithfulness,

Pastor Michael
